Downtown Trolley Ride

We've been waiting for the weather to become bearable to take Case on one of the Downtown Trolleys. On Saturday morning, after we finished up our farmer's market shopping we hopped on and rode the trolley around a full loop. All the way down Main Street and then back up along the bluff for a view of the river. It was so fun and relaxing and Case had a ball. We can't wait to do it again sometime soon.

Anxiously awaiting...
All aboard...

Thank You, Debra!

A great big thank you to my mother-in-law for my awesome new artwork that is hanging in my office. I've gotten tons of compliments on it and everyone has wanted to know how it was done. Well, I went to Calico Corner in Memphis and perused all of their beautiful fabrics until I found some that I liked and thought would go with my other office decor. Seriously, I love that place! Anyway, it was expensive fabric at $25/yard, but I didn't have to buy much so the key take-away here is...that expensive fabric makes for cheap art! So I delivered the fabric to Debra who made the wooden frames and stretched the fabric over them. And walla...

No big blank gray wall anymore!

Dyersburg

Last weekend we met James' parents in Dyersburg to visit his grandfather. Case entertained himself most of the time with the wheelchair.

Here he's trying on Paw Neal's stylish hat... Crawling up to give Pa a kiss...
Showing us all where Pa's hair is...
And showing us all where Pa's teeth are...
After our day in Dyersburg, James' parents came down to Memphis for the night to help celebrate Case's b-day. Here's Paw Paw reading case one of his favorite "choo choo" books.

Pre-Birthday Fun

My parents were in town this weekend to help celebrate Case's birthday a few days early. On Saturday morning we headed to the Children's Museum. It was too hot to do anything outside and we got there as soon as the doors opened to beat the crowd. I forgot my good camera, so I had to take pics with my phone, so they aren't the best quality, but at least I got a few.

There was a bug chef that had cooked up some delicacies...crickets and worms. Case loved them and asked for seconds! I wasn't brave enough to try, but James did and said they were pretty good. Case had crickets in his teeth afterwards...yuck! :)

Case opened one of his birthday gifts from his cousins, Evan and Will. They have such cool things for kids these days.

Making His Daddy Proud

This is Case's favorite toy in his class at church. Making his Daddy proud, for sure!
