We've had a great fall sports season around here. Emery has played competitive soccer with Soccer Ole (she's playing goalie) and for the first time is trying out cross country (ending the season with a PR of 7:34).
Case has played competitive soccer with Soccer Ole (no pics of his team yet ... will work on that), tried out and made the Tennessee Olympic Development Team (will get pics of this too) and wrapped up a great tennis season making it all the way to the quarter finals of the middle school tournament. Considering he's been playing less than a year and he's only a 7th grader, we were impressed that he made it so far. It was an exciting afternoon of tennis!
Walkout with Emory Miller at One Family Night
Little Rock soccer tournament
Got to catch up with Emily for a bit while in LR
Won first match 8-2, won second match 8-6 and lost third match in a nail biter 7-9. That's 40 games in one afternoon. Good thing this kid loves tennis.
Wow, wow, wow. We have played a LOT of sports this spring. Which is great, since last spring we didn't get to play any sports but it has kept us hopping and made the month of April fly by!
2011 MFC Girls (blue and red teams)
Tournament in Hendersonville, TN
Case decided to play tennis this spring. He's never played tennis before. We don't play tennis. I have no idea why he chose it but he sure had a fun time and improved tremendously throughout the season, even winning a play in game to make it into the MS tournament. We were super proud!
And then we experienced the first of hopefully many track seasons with Emery and it was so much fun! I absolutely loved every second of it. Being at the track with her every Sunday afternoon doing something we both love so much was one of my greatest joys as a parent. She worked so hard and had such a great attitude. She ran the 100, 200 and 400 and then did the long and high jump. So many great new experiences!
Had a PR of 3' 6" this season
Jumped 11' 6" to secure 3rd place in the grades 3-5 division
