Spring Fever

Today's weather was glorious and we made the most of it by staying outdoors ALL day long! We took our first family bike ride of the season, cleaned out the garage, put up and sat under our patio umbrella and then had friends over for our first grilled burgers of the year! Perfect spring Saturday! 

The kids were pumped about going for a bike ride and it's a good thing because it was a long one...for us! All of Memphis must have been at the Tiger game because they were NOT on the Wolf River Greenway. We rode all the way to Chick-fil-a, ordered our lunch and then had a picnic by the river before heading back toward the house. We stopped off to check out some snapping turtles sunning themselves on some logs and a water moccasin swam right up to the dock we were standing on. I hated every second of it and was so terrified that I didn't even think to get out my phone to snap a pic. I HATE snakes. Especially super poisonous ones! Even if they aren't within striking distance!

Welcome Spring! Even if only for a few days...Sigh...

Slacker

I admit, I've been a total slacker on the 'ole blog for the past several months. But not because I haven't been documenting our daily lives. I've just been in a bit of a blogging rut, if you will. It takes time to download pics and videos from my phone to my computer and then it takes time to sort through them all and I just haven't had an abundance of time lately. We stay busy around here! 

So forgive me...some of these are oldies, but goodies. And some actually are recent...

We've introduced the idea of going potty and now she's obsessed. Should have waited a while...
