Gonna be a Baller

It has been confirmed. Case is going to be one heck of a ball player. He got a basketball goal for Christmas from his great uncle Danny, and after just one night of practice, he's a total natural! We're expecting great things from you Case....no pressure! :)

Christmas With The In-Laws

It was our year to travel to Waverly, TN for Christmas with James' family and we had a great time. Case really enjoyed playing with his cousin, Greyson, who is only 9 months older than he is. There were a few moments for lessons on sharing, but by the end of the trip, they were really acting like friends and it was really cute. We wish that cousin Greyson lived closer so we could see him more often! Below are some pics of Case's second Christmas.

Christmas Eve at James' Granny's house:

Three of the five great-grandkids opening presents (Greyson, Case and Thomas)

Christmas Morning at Maw Maw and Paw Paw's house:

Santa brought Greyson tons of presents on Christmas Morning. Santa didn't visit Case this year. He contributed to his college fund instead. But don't worry, Case received PLENTY of presents from his grandparents and great-grandparents so there's no need to feel sorry for him! And Santa will visit him next year when he is older and has some sort of an idea of what's going on!

Case's favorite gift this year is the slide he got from his Maw Maw and Paw Paw. It only took him a few tries to get up the nerve to go down it by himself. Be sure and check out the videos below.

Christmas day, James' Pa Neal came to visit and his wife, Marjorie (aka Gan Gan). Case was so worn out that he nearly fell asleep in his lap.

Case getting his second wind with Gan Gan.

The cousins in the bath together! I just love these!

We tried desperately to get a cute pic of the boys together being sweet to each other. Greyson cooperated, but Case would NOT sit still long enough for me to get a good one. Sigh....

James' parents have a Wii and Greyson decided to play a little tennis with his Dad and Uncle James. Greyson has the TV remote in his hand....it is too cute!

These next two videos are of Case on his new slide. The second one documents a good lesson on sharing...enjoy!

Belated Merry Christmas to all our friends and family!!!

Zoo Lights

I know, I know....I've been a total slacker on the blogging lately. I've been so busy with getting ready for the holidays and with work, that I just haven't been able to get around to it. We also didn't have Internet for a while, but we're back in business now. I think one of my new year's resolutions is going to be to blog more regularly. We shall see...

Anyway...Last Friday night we met up with some friends at the Memphis Zoo for Zoo Lights. It was a great night to be out (not too cold) and we had a great time! We got Case all bundled up. He was so distracted by all the people and hubbub around him that he didn't even protest putting on his cute new gloves. You better believe that under any other circumstances, he would have pitched a fit and taken them off in a second!

Trying to get a decent family pic!

The wolves were way cooler looking at night in the dark that in the broad daylight.

Big Shot

While in Arkansas over Thanksgiving, James and I had the opportunity to shoot some guns...all different types of guns (BIG and teeny). My uncle teaches a shooting class and knows a whole heck of a lot about guns and he took the afternoon to educate James and me a little bit. We also got to see who has a better shot between us and actually, we both had pretty good shots. I think James was impressed with my mad sharp shooting skills! :) Below are a few pics and videos...enjoy...

Not too bad from thirty feet out!

Very Thankful

I've got a whole lot to be thankful for this year and at the top of the list, was five days off of work!!! I took a vacation day last Wednesday, so we could get a jump on the holiday and it's been so nice to be off so long! Work has been especially stressful these past few weeks and a nice long break was just what I needed.

James and I take turns every year for Thanksgiving and Christmas and this year we headed to Mountain View to spend Thanksgiving with my family. It was Case's first Thanksgiving with my family and I think he throughly enjoyed it. And since we won't be headed back there for Christmas, we had our "tree" with my parents and brother's family on Friday night. It feeels great to have half of my shopping for this year already out of the way!

We tried desperately to get a photo of all the cousins together, but as you can see, it proved to be a bit difficult...

We kept trying...

Evan and Will were much more cooperative about posing for the camera!

Evan posing with his new cap!

James got a new subscription to Backpacker Magazine and some camping supplies for his next trek.

Case was completely worn out from all the action and fell asleep on his uncle Tyler.

Case got to sit on Grandpa Whit's motorcycle. Maybe next time he can actually go for a ride on it.

On our way back to Memphis on Saturday, we made a pit stop in Bald Knob to see our friend Sneed. It was great to see him again. He moved from Memphis to Dallas earlier this fall and we sure do miss him. Case got to ride on his four wheeler and LOVED IT!! I wish I could have gotten a pic of the look on his face.

15 Months Does Not Equal Easy to Photograph

Case is so active these days, that it makes him nearly impossible to photograph....but I still keep trying! Below are some of the pics from our last session. We were attempting to get a good family shot to go on this year's Christmas cards. It was a chaotic day, but we got a few good ones...

He is a cutie patootie...even when he's being difficult to pin down for a photo! :)Check Spelling
