Summertime Fun

I was determined to do something extra fun with Case before I head back to work next week. I know he was sick of just playing around the house all day so we skipped our naps and headed for the spray park. Case had a ball and made a new friend, Jasmine. And Emery had a pretty good time as well. She mostly slept and just looked cute in her swimsuit!

Potty Time

As if we don't have enough going on, we're also smack dab in the middle of potty training. This week Case has done great! He's only had one accident and it wasn't his fault. He was outside playing in the back yard and I was inside feeding Emery and I could hear him at the back door yelling, "I have to pee pee!!!" We told him the next time that happened outside that he could just pee pee in the grass! He loves wearing his Thomas and Friends big boy underwear and we love it too! Case, we are so proud of you, buddy! You're such a big boy!

Here he is showing off his underoos.

Making sure it goes in the potty and not all over the place. We're not quite ready to stand yet...

E is Two Months Old

Okay, so Emery is over two months old now, but I'm just now getting to posting about it on the blog. Things have been more than crazy lately. We are now settled (sort of) in our new house and are really enjoying it (more on the new house to come) and I'm finally starting to recover from having mastitis. I was sick. Really sick. Fever, chills and body aches. It was awful. Thank goodness my in-laws were here to care for my children because I certainly couldn't.

Okay, now on to Miss Emery. She went for her two-month check up this week and we received a good report! She weighed in at 11 lbs. 11 oz. and measured 23 inches long. Doc says that she is perfectly proportioned. She also got all of her shots and it was just as awful as I remembered, but we survived.

She's been smiling a lot these days and she loves to lay in her crib and smile at the animals on her mobile. She's still got her wild wild crazy hair, but the new hair that is growing in is blond, so she may be a blondie like her big bro. She still sleeps in the Nap Nanny in our room at night. I can't figure out how to get her to sleep in her crib. This was not a problem with Case. Any tips out there?? She also refuses to drink from a bottle which is going to be problematic when I go back to work in a few weeks. Again, any tips?? This wasn't a problem for Case either. They say no two babies are alike and that has certainly proven true with our two!! E sure is high maintenance, but we just love her to pieces!!
