Five years ago today, James and I became parents. Wow! For a refresher on that day, read here.

To mark the occasion, we are sharing our "Fun Loving Case" list with 5 things we love to love about him. 

1. Case, we love that you are a people person. You've never met a stranger and you make friends easily wherever you go.
2. We love that you have a very obedient nature and respect for rules. This makes it a bit easier on us as parents. Thank you!
3. We love your laid-back personality. You never get in a hurry (just like your dad) and you never have an opinion about what you wear or eat. Again, making it easy on us!
4. We love that you have a genuine concern for others. Whether it's regarding a friend that is getting into trouble or sick, you are always concerned about them. You want others to be happy and healthy. 
5. And last but not least, we love your inquisitiveness. You ask a lot of questions. You just really like to talk about anything and everything. You are a talker, son. This is not at all like your dad.

Back to School

The kids started back to Highland Day School (Parent's Day Out) today. Case was super excited but I was worried Emery would have a hard time after being with me every single day, all summer long. Boy was I wrong! Both kids marched right in like pros, very excited to be back at school with their friends. I'm so thankful that they both love it and they both have wonderful teachers! What a blessing! Praying for a great year!

Another Hometown Visit

With "school" starting this week, the kids and I decided to make the most of our last week of summer vacation by heading to Arkansas to Nana and Poppy Whit's. We had a great time hanging out with family and celebrating Case's birthday a bit early. 

Emery was a great little road warrior (for once). Maybe she's starting to grow out of her hatred for road trips. We will know soon enough with our upcoming road trip all the way across Tennessee to Gatlinburg in September. Fingers crossed...

Case has been wanting Beyblades for months and finally got some for his birthday from his cousins, Will and Evan.  He absolutely loves those things! We've had hundreds of Beyblade Battles over the past week. HUNDREDS!
