Snow/Ice Day!

The kids weren't going to school today anyway because it's Presidents Day, but we were all still super excited to wake up to a bit of snow and ice! It was enough to delay James going into work until late morning, so we made the most of it by getting out and sledding for the first time ever! I knew when we bought our house that this hill would be ideal for sledding…we've just had a long wait to give it a try! It was great fun!

Emery went down several times with me and made it just fine. Then she went with her dad and brother and it completely traumatized her for some reason, as you can see (and hear)! She's not much of a dare devil!

James got home earlier that usual, so we decided to head back out for round two! Emery decided she would try it again, but only with her Momma! The sledding just before dark was even better than this morning because the slush on the road had re-frozen and was basically a solid sheet of ice. We all sledded as long as we could stand it…well after dark and until we were starving and our faces felt like they were going to fall off! Then we came inside to enjoy a big pot of homemade chili! It was a great snow day!

The Lion King

Taking the kids to see the Lion King surpassed all of my expectations. Such a fun night with many memories made for our family!

We went downtown a bit early to dine at Aldo's Pizza Pies. It was our first time to try it and we really enjoyed it. The kids loved playing with he dough while we waited for our pizza and the pizza was tasty! So fun!

It was bitterly cold! We sprung for a $10 parking spot just outside the Orpheum. Best decision ever!

Case was intrigued by the orchestra pit and asked a million questions like, "How does the stage move like that?"and Emery spent a good bit of time mimicking the dancers by dancing in my lap. James and I just watched her and cracked up. Our girl loves to dance! Such a fun night that we won't soon forget!

Happy Heart Day

It was a full morning of partying and celebrating Valentine's Day at Harding Academy today with two of my favorite valentines. I'm the room mother for Emery's class and this was our last party of the year that I'm in charge of planning and that's a huge relief! I must say that it might have been my favorite of all class parties this school year. I must be getting better at planning! I also had a lot of great help!

Yes, I did make this frog poster. And I don't craft. I didn't even hate myself during the process! Success!

Yes, we did recycle her box from last year. #resourceful

Photo booth fun with this doll!

A special Pete the Cat Valentine book.

Case reading with a 6th grader pre-party

It was a Happy Valentine's Day indeed!

MAM Boys…Transformation Tuesday

I take this photo every year because I love to see the transformation. Same couch, same order, same kiddos. From October 2010 to January 2015.

Lately

No time for many words, so simply photos with captions will have to do for now…

Finding time for some fun while in Orlando for work...

We've been blessed with some warm days here and there and have been making the most of them. Bring on Spring! We are ready!
