PaPaw
Last weekend we hit the road for Mtn. View to honor and celebrate my late grandfather, Kebel Hinkle (aka PaPaw). He passed away five years ago, and this weekend my home church dedicated their new administrative building to him. The ceremony was wonderful, bittersweet of course, but really wonderful. He was so devoted to and loved the church so much and it was just a very special day of recognition for him. I know he was looking down on us and smiling.

Go Grizz!
This weekend James and I took Case to his first Grizzlies game. We weren't sure how it would turn out, but Case did great. He clapped his hands, growled like a grizzly and he wasn't even scared of the fireworks that went off during the team announcements. We did leave at half time b/c it was his bedtime and we were hoping to avoid a meltdown. I'm looking forward to next year's season when I can send James and Case to a game for some father/son bonding time!

Hey Case, It's Hot Outside!
I'll start this blog post off by saying that I'm blogging from 10,000 ft. on my way to Orlando for work. It's the first flight that I've been on that offers wi-fi and I'm loving it. I'm getting in a little blogging in between emails! Very cool!
Okay, so this winter, Case associated his hat with going outside. Makes sense right? We used to think he was so smart when he'd bring his hat to us when he wanted to go out. Well, now that it's 80 degrees outside and Case has decided he wants to be outdoors 24/7, he still associates his hat with going outside. He pitches a huge fit wanting to put it on and sometimes won't go out without it even after I tell him he doesn't need it. Whatever. If it makes him happy, then I don't guess it will hurt anything. Our neighbors are just going to think we're a little bit crazy...

Austin and Easter
This past week we headed to Austin, TX to see our new nephew, Eli Nowlin West. We flew out on Thursday morning and had a quick, less than two hour, direct flight. It was Case's first flight since he was only 6 months old, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but he was great. He is fascinated with airplanes, but I wasn't sure he'd understand that he was actually on one, but I think he understood. He would just look out the window and say "airplane." He was a perfect angel and we were so relieved!
We were so excited to meet baby Eli. He just turned 6 weeks old and is such a sweetie pie.

Case had such a great time playing with his cousin Greyson and all of cousin Greyson's toys. They are only 9 months apart in age, and they played really good together. We can't wait until they are old enough to have real conversations with each other!

Playing at the neighborhood park.

Case pretty much just ignored Eli, but every once in awhile, he'd point and say, "baby." And he did give him a few kisses.

Saturday morning we had a brief Easter Egg Hunt. Case did great with the first few eggs, but

was then ready to move on to something else. He really enjoyed eating the candy that was inside.
