Here are just a few new sweet pics of Case sleeping.

He slept for about half an hour with his arm up like this.

The latest happenings...

This week we started giving Case one formula bottle a day...usually when James gets home from work. The pediatrician recommended doing this to give me a break to go do whatever I want and just relax. It also gives James and Case some good bonding time. He also sleeps better at night when he's had a little formula, so I've gotten more rest this week too which has been great!

Our friend Kevin Redd came over to give Case a little TLC this week. They were both in this same position for about two hours.

This pic is just cute. I had him all dressed up in his green overalls.

We've officially moved case out of our bedroom and into his own room. I don't like him being so far away from me at night, but I keep the video monitor on all night so I can look at him anytime I need to. And I know that all of the books say not to let babies sleep on their stomachs, but he sleeps so good on his belly. We did wait until he could lift his head on his own, so I think he'll be okay. The pics below were taken at 3:00 in the morning. I had just fed him and was headed back to bed and he was just so sweet looking. I had to go get the camera.

A few more new pics

James made me crop this one before posting it for all to see. Case loves to take a bath now.

Five Weeks Old Today

Case is five weeks old today and growing so fast. The weather was perfect today, so we got out this morning for a stroll.

Before our walk...

After our walk...the stroller always knocks him out. Look at those fat cheeks!

We've been extremely blessed to have wonderful people feed us for the past five weeks. The first week my mom was here and cooked for us and the second week James mom cooked for us. The past three weeks our class at church has brought us food, so needless to say, we have not gone hungry and it's been such a relief. If it hadn't been for all of our wonderful friends and family, we would have spent a lot of money on take out b/c I certainly haven't felt like cooking...until today. I cooked today for the first time since he was born and Case was a big help.

After we had cooked. He was worn out from such hard work watching me.

A Day With The Nowlins

We made a day trip this past Saturday to New Johnsonville for Case to meet more of his relatives. Below are some pics of him with James' grandparents. I threw in a couple of random pics at the end just because they were cute. He's really growing fast these days...

First Trip to MV

We took our first trip to Mtn. View for the great grandmothers to meet Case. He was a great traveler and slept the whole way going and coming home. He was STARVING when we arrived, but he made it! Case and I were supposed to stay the entire week while James went to New Orleans for work, but due to Gustav, his trip was canceled, so we came back to Memphis on Monday. I learned that it is a LOT of trouble to travel with a little one. We packed so much stuff! I didn't think it was all going to fit in my car. It was the dogs first road trip with a baby in the back seat and we didn't know how that would go, but it went well. They all three slept in the back seat seemingly oblivious of each other. Below are a few pics with my Granny, Meme and my Mom.
