Snow Day!
The weather man was actually right for once, and we got enough snow and ice to have a legitimate snow day! James went into work Friday morning, but was home by noon and I had to deal with a few work items Friday morning, but we all just enjoyed staying in our warm house together all afternoon. Case took a three hour nap and James and I just relaxed on the couch and watched daytime TV, and dozed in and out! It was awesome! This morning we decided to get Case out of the house to check out the snow and ice. Everything was frozen over. Our back yard was like one big ice cube. Fluffy snow would have been much more fun, but Case still thought it was cool. Maybe he'll experience real snow one day. Here are some pics...

Our Little Cowboy
One day this week was cowboy/cowgirl day at Case's school. Everyone got a bandanna and a cowboy hat to take home. And I must say, Case does make for a good-lookin' cowboy!

Blogging Hiatus
I know, I know...I've taken a VERY long blogging hiatus. Life has just been so busy lately. We don't have much of anything interesting to report on. We've just been working and enjoying staying at home and relaxing after traveling so much over the holidays. And we're gearing up for a very busy spring!
Below are a few recent pics of Case. He's almost officially 18 months old and I just can't believe it. He's just such a little man these days. We have a zillion toys in our house. So many that they sometimes make me feel a little claustrophobic. They are sort of taking over. But, even with all the zillion toys around, many of them new from Christmas, Case is much more interested in anything but his toys. The pics below illustrate some of his favorite play activities these days...playing in the dog bowl (splashing in the water and throwing the food) and taking things out of the kitchen cabinets. He's one little busy body and he keeps us on our toes.

The Liberty Bowl
It. Was. So. Cold.
I was about as equipped for the cold weather as I could have been...LOTS of layers, as many as I could get on and I gotta say that I made it great until half-time, but it was downhill from there. By the end of overtime, I was pretty numb. But we had a great time, despite our numbness!
Here we are feelin' pretty good before the game. My cousin Trey and his buddy, Travis, sat with us. Trey kept us entertained throughout the game! Don't they look cold?? They were more worried about their good looks and didn't quite dress as adequately as the rest of us and they paid for it! :)
I stole these last two pics from Kendall b/c her's were way better than the ones I took with my phone. They dropped two paratroopers out of a plane just before kickoff and they landed on the field. I mean, they were way up in the sky and they steered themselves perfectly into the stadium and onto the field. I thought is was really cool.
The second guy was carrying the game ball. I was so impressed.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that the Hogs won in OT. It was quite exciting, but I was just glad for the game to end so I could head for a steaming HOT bath!
