2016 Track & Field Season

And that's officially a wrap on the 2016 track season, concluding with my first trip to the TSSAA state meet at MTSU, and it was a great one! Could not be prouder of these athletes...both for their performance on the track and their character on (and off) the track.

Division II-A State Invitational meet in Nashville - everyone placed and scored points for the team.

Boys and girls both came home a victors! It was a great day!

Random Stuff

Random photos updates to cover some of the other great things happening this spring...

I helped lead the HYG girls retreat, along with the Senior girls. It was a LOT of work, but worth every bit of it. Such a special time to spend with these lovely ladies and watch them lead. It as a amazing weekend learning how God is calling us (girls) to be BRAVE.

Here's our 2016 Mother's Day photo. It was a great day. This momma slept in late, was greeted by fresh flowers from James and the kids and just had an overall great low-key day with them. Just what I needed/wanted. So very blessed to be their mom!

James and I are also about to celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary. We had a conflict on the night/weekend of our actual anniversary, so we went out to dinner at Hog & Hominy to celebrate a week early. So very thankful to do life with this guy. 12 years later, he is still my favorite.

Emery had so much fun with her friends at her first sleepover at Jordan's house. It came as no surprise that she didn't miss a beat. That girl didn't have one issue staying away from home.

And last, but not least...I looked up this spring and all of a sudden couldn't see any more "little boy" left in Case. This year has brought about a lot of change. Here he is wearing James' old little league shirt looking so grown up.

Spring Soccer

Both kiddos are playing soccer this spring and it's been so fun to watch them both. Case and the buddies on his team are really starting to figure it all out.

Case's teacher took part of her Saturday morning to come see these boys play. We love Mrs. Douglas. This is just one of many amazing ways she sacrifices and shows her support for her students.

Pure joy after scoring a goal. Photo credit to Allen Gillespie.

This was Emery's first organized sport and she was great at it! Love this little kicker so much!

Spring at MHA

We've had busy but super fun spring at Harding.

We enjoyed watching many of our friends in the lower school spring play, 101 Dalmatians.

I got to accompany Case on a field trip to the Pink Palace IMAX theater to watch the National Parks movie in 3-D. It was so good and made us both excited about our fall break trip to Sequoia National Park!

Both kids classes led chapel programs and did such a great job. Case's class did the story "Stick and Stone" and Emery's class did a program written by our music teacher called "Mr. Noah's Ark."

We had very successful color run fundraiser and the students raised over $12K for the school. It was such a fun event that we hope to do it again next year!

Case did a great job at his piano recital. He seems to continue to like taking piano, so we plan to continue his lessons in the fall.

Year Five Milestone

So proud of my big girl for taking her kindergarten shots like a champ. No tears means she got her handprint on the wall at the pediatrician's office. I knew she could do it. Brother was a bit jealous. :/
