We kicked off the year celebrating James' birthday with a lovely dinner at Blue Honey Bistro with friends followed by an Escape Room. We had a blast closing out 2019 and celebrating the birthday boy!
At little hoverboard entertainment from Emery. This girl is a pro!
The kids had a fun basketball season with lots of special fans!
Winter basketball camp
January also brought a fun STEAM night at Harding Academy where the kids showed off a lot of hard work!
February was a fun-filled month that's flew by too fast! We of course celebrated Valentine's Day. First at school with festive parties.
And then we celebrated that weekend with our annual Dad/Daughter and Mom/Son date night. This has become one of my favorite traditions. We all really look forward to this each year.
James and Emery headed to Crosstown for dinner, art gallery browsing and dessert. Then they hit up Target for Emery to do some shopping. Case and I had a dinner and movie date. We enjoyed some Pyro's Pizza followed by Aquaman. It might have been my favorite superhero movie to date. So good!
We spent Presidents' Day at High Point doing some climbing. Case and Emery both impressed me so much by making it to the top of several different routes in the big room. Those walls are 50 feet high. I could hardly watch! They are braver than their Momma!
Emery making it nearly to the top of that 50' wall!
Case made it to the top!
Emery conquering another 50' route
Then we wrapped up two great basketball seasons. It's been so fun watching these kids play this season. Both teams had great coaches and teammates and our kiddos really learned a lot, improved their skills and had a lot of fun along the way.

Case's team even made it to the finals of the tournament to the championship game and won by six after being down by eight to start the game. It was super intense and exciting to pull off a win!

Here are a few more (better) photos that one of the other parents took during some of the games. Evidently, Case plays most of the game with his tongue out. :)
We've had a great month but are sick of the cold around here. Bring on Spring and some warmer temps, please!!
It's been almost three and half years since these four guys came into our lives. I can't believe that two of them (CJ and Mickey) are just a few months away from their high school graduation. Time is flying by. Every year I make them replicate one of the very first photos I took of all of them. They hate it (of course) but I have loved looking back to see how everyone has changed over the years. In this first one, Case looks like such a baby still. And I was only a few months pregnant with Emery at the time. And now the kids are so big and so are the MAM boys! Everyone is growing up so fast!

Case sure has enjoyed playing his new Wii with the boys. They have some pretty intense Mario Kart competitions.
We've enjoyed watching three of the guys play on the same ball team this season and this past Friday was CJ's senior night. He was named Sheffield High School's "Mr. Basketball" and he ended his last regular season with a great game! So proud of this guy!
Mario #3 (Sophomore) & CJ #1
Emery and Emory clearly not very interested in the ball game. Typical!
It was so great to have so many people there to support CJ during his last home game as a Sheffield Knight. We have been blessed with a wonderful church family. All of these fine folks (and many more not pictured) have loved on and mentored these boys along side us the entire way. It takes a village and we've been fortunate enough to be a part of a great one!
