Seersucker Sunday

One of the things I've looked the most forward to about spring is breaking out the seersucker! I do love it and there's no shortage of all kinds of cute baby clothes made out of it. I had to take a few pics of Case is his seersucker cow jon jon. Isn't he so handsome? This is one of the first things I bought after I found out I was having a boy. It's 12 month size, so I thought he wouldn't be able to wear it until later in the summer, but since he's such a chunky monkey, it fits him perfectly now! I may have to try and find another one just like it in an 18 month for later in the summer! We went to eat with some friends after church to Memphis Pizza Cafe.

Case was SO tired on the way home that he just conked out. Poor guy was pooped from all of the activity...plus he awoke at 5:45 am this morning! I carried him in and put him in bed and he's still sleeping...that was over two hours ago. Please notice the passy in his mouth...not only is it upside down, but the whole thing is halfway in his mouth...crazy dude! The hard part must feel better on his gums! Anyway, it cracked us up!

Memphis Farmers Market

It was a beautiful Saturday morning, so we got up and headed to the Memphis Farmers Market for the first time this year. This is one of our favorite Saturday morning activities and this was Case's first appearance...other than in my belly...and he seemed to like it. He loves to people watch! I am really looking forward to fresh fruits and veggies all summer long....squash, corn, peaches, blueberries, tomatoes....oh, I just get so excited thinking about it!

This morning we picked up some fresh strawberries...yummy!

And here are just a few random pics I took this week when Case stayed home from school b/c he had a bad cold. He doesn't look very sick in the pictures, but he was snotty and had a bad cough. He is getting SO close to crawling. I predict that he will be crawling within a few days. I'll be sure and post a video to prove it whenever it happens!

Lookin' Good

Case looked so cute today in his new outfit that I just had to snap a few pics to share. James and I, however, did not look so cute, so I cropped us out of the pics! A big thanks to Nanna for buying Case that cute outfit for his Easter present! He got lots of compliments on it. He didn't look like a baby today. He was back to looking like a big boy!

Hoppy Easter!

Happy Easter to all of our friends and family that we weren't able to be with today. We miss you!! Things have been so crazy around here the past few weeks with the stomach virus and Case having a cold, that we just decided to stay put for the long weekend and it has been nice and relaxing! Since Case is still so young, we didn't do the whole egg dying Easter bunny thing. He did get a gift from us...Horton Hatches the Egg, but that was all we did. The weather wasn't quite as beautiful and warm here today as it was yesterday, but we still got all gussied up for Easter Sunday. Below are some pics from this morning before heading off to church...

Here is Case's smocked surfing frogs bubble suit. So cute!! James doesn't LOVE the smocked outfits as much as I do, but he let us get away with it with just one comment about him looking like a baby instead of a big boy. And that's just perfectly fine with me. He's growing up too fast as it is!

Very Good Friday

I had the day off today for Good Friday and spent the day with friends at the zoo. We had the best time. My friend Amanda who moved to Ohio last summer was in town with her three kiddos and I was so excited to see them all. I really miss her! I also got to spend some QT with my Memphis friends that I don't get to see enough of as well. Case had such a good time with all of the other kids. He just chilled in the stroller for three hours like a champ! He was worn out when we got home and took over a two hour nap. Here are a few pics...

Standing Tall

So, we've been working on getting Case to crawl, but he's really not all that interested. He will get up on his hands and knees and just bounce back and forth, but doesn't go anywhere. He will occasionally scoot himself a foot or two, but that's it. He does love to stand up, so we're wondering if maybe he'll just skip the crawling stage. We'll keep encouraging him though and maybe he'll get the hang of it.

Busy Bee!

Last week, Case was promoted to the "Busy Bees" room at school. He's no longer in the baby room and it kind of makes me sad that he's growing up, but he loves the new room! He plays all day and his favorite part is when they put the music on and sing and dance. He loves to dance! Some of the kids in the new room are crawling around and he loves to play and watch the other kids too. The only down side is that he sometimes only takes one nap because there is so much going on and he does not want to miss anything! Oh, and they all sit in one of these tables to eat their"snacks" and I just think it's too cute! The pics are fuzzy since I took them on my phone, but you get the idea.
