Trunk or Treat

Tonight our church had their annual Trunk or Treat. It was our first and we had a blast. There were some CUTE costumes and some elaborate trunks! For those of you from the country where trick or treating still takes place all over town (like myself), Trunk or Treat is where people decorate their trunks and hand out candy as the kiddos parade around from car to car. I had never heard of it til we moved to Memphis. It's a great way to hang out with friends and you don't have to mess with getting in and out of the car a zillion times. It was great and Case came home with a lot of loot!

Hadley came as a ladybug!
Randi and Reese.
Colt came as a cheeseburger!!
Case and Casper, aka Jonathan Jerkins!

My Not-So-Cowardly Lion

Tonight we attended the Fall Festival at Union Avenue Baptist Church, where Case goes to Day Care. I just knew that there was no way Case would leave his hood up and those paws over his hands, but he proved me wrong...he loved his costume. And...Oh. My. Goodness. Is he the cutest thing ever in that "get up" or what??? We will be attending "Trunk or Treat" at our church on Sunday night, so more pics of my little lion to come...

The way he walked and danced in his costume cracked us up. I think the big belly was making him waddle a bit. So, so, so hilarious! Enjoy!!

I Heart Fall

Love being outdoors this time of year! Makes me remember being at home on maternity leave last fall and strolling Case in the beautiful fall weather. No strolling this year, though. He wants to PLAY!

This standing up thing is a new trend. He wants to stand on EVERYTHING! It drives me crazy and we can't take our eyes off him for even a second!

Better Late than Never

I've been meaning to post a video of Case walking for the past month and just have been too busy. He officially started walking a few months ago, but he was only taking a few steps at a time when James and I left for BC. When we arrived back in Memphis on Sept. 16, he was a walking machine...going wherever his heart desired and our lives were forever changed!! Anyways, I finally got a good video of him tonight while he was stalling trying to keep from having to go to bed. He pulled his musical lizard all over the house in a very good attempt to avoid bedtime, but, to no avail! Please, please ignore my messy house...I'm embarrassed by it...almost enough to not even post this!

Weekend at the Lake with Friends

Last weekend we headed to the lake to hang out with some of our good friends from college that now live in Dallas. Case went to stay with his Nanna and Grandpa Whit in MV. Hopefully this will become an annual gathering every fall. We had such a great time catching up! The weather on Saturday was perfect! We took the party barge over to Sugar Loaf to do some hiking. Brisco really enjoyed the boat ride over...

Our last weekend with Sneed before he moves to the Big D. He's trading us in for the Sudelas!

Drew and Rachel
Kristen, Rachel's sister also joined us for some relaxation in the Ozarks.

AJ was terrified of the boat ride...he was shaking all over. James had to hold him to calm him down.

We made it to the top! Even the dogs made it to the top. They loved hiking with us!

This is where James proposed to me! It was kind of fun to be back up there for the first time since. Ahhh....so sweet!
Hanging out by the campfire and roasting marshmallows.
The little dude was zonked out on the way home on Sunday. His Nanna and Whit wore him out!

Our other baby was also zoned out in the back seat with the Case man! Sneeder, we're gonna miss you!
