Baby No More

It's official....I no longer have a baby. Emery has been potty trained for a few months now (YAY!) and this weekend we upgraded her to an official big girl room! Bye bye crib! I can't even believe it. Every time I pass by her room and look in I want to burst into tears. How can my baby not be a baby anymore?!? But then I think about how darn cute her new decor is and it helps ease the sadness just a bit! I really do love how it turned out! I can't take credit for a thing. It's all the work of my wonderful and talented mother-in-law! Let's take a tour, shall we?

Em says come on in!

THE WALLS - Sherwin William's Mindful Grey
THE BED - The bed had been collecting dust in James' parent's attic for who knows how many decades...Score! Debra spray painted it turquoise and brought it back to it's full glory!

THE ART - Yes, Debra painted it. It's perfect.

THE QUILT - Debra made it. By hand. 35+ years ago out of her old clothes. I absolutely adore it!

THE CHEST - It was my Mimi's. Debra sanded it, painted it a lovely mustard color and put new hardware (Hobby Lobby) on it. I wish I had a before pic. I think it turned out super cute!

MORE ART - Debra painted an old window and stapled some fabric (Bumbletees) to the back. Inspiration directly from Pinterest, so again I don't really get any credit. I did pick out the fabric!

We also upgraded all of the hardware. New knobs made a big difference!

One happy girl in her new bed! Love this little bit to pieces!
