Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! This past week has been CRAZY and has felt VERY long. We lost our power in the thunderstorms that came through on Tuesday night and were without until Friday afternoon. Not fun. But, we survived and we ended the week with a great Easter weekend full of festivities.

Earlier in the week (when we still had power or "powers" as Case would say), we dyed our eggs.

On Saturday we headed out for the Easter picnic at our church. I snapped this pic before we left. Emery was all ready to go...notice the blur in the background as Case was doing acrobatics off the foot board...

And of course the Easter bunny came to our house as well on Saturday afternoon for Case to hunt in our yard.

Easter Sunday. Emery is ready for her first trip to church in her pretty dress.
And as for these next few...well, I tried...

We feel so blessed in so many ways this Easter and are especially thankful on this day and every day for our risen savior and the promise we have for eternal life. I was trying to tell Case this morning on the way to church about Easter and about Jesus' death and him coming back to life so we could go to Heaven and he said, "I love Jesus and I want to go to Heaven!" And I just said, "Me too, buddy. Me too."

Happy Easter to all of our friends and family!
