We were super proud of Case for making the All West Regional Band. He was selected as 7th chair for the French horn and made the Blue Band (that's like making the A team). Nana and GPW made the drive and we enjoyed a delicious brunch after the early-morning concert.
Case's friend, Luke, made 2nd chair in the blue band for percussion.
Then, the ice storm of 2022 hit and we were without power for over a week! Thank goodness for Bubba and Debbie Edwards for offering their home to us. And we were lucky not to have any major damage from the trees to our house. I hope not to experience anything like that again for a LONG time!
The reason for our power loss ...
Trying to get home to check on our house. Yes, I drove under those trees over the road.
Pretending it's a party with our friends!
This chick developed an ear infection causing even less sleep at night for all of us!
Night to Shine at Highland with Piper
The most beautiful sight after 8 days without power!
Emery starred in her last lower school musical, The Aristocats. She made the perfect Duchess. So prim and proper. Nailed it!
In keeping with our Valentine's tradition, we took the big kids out on dates. Daddy/daughter and mother/son. This year we joined up after our separate dinners for a double date at the Memphis Escape Room downtown.
