Camp Highland 2021 | Champions

We were SO VERY HAPPY to be back at Camp Highland after the Covid hiatus last summer. Last summer would have been Emery's first, so this year she was a first-time camper as a rising 5th grader and it was Case's first year as a member of HYG. What?? Crazy! It was just as much fun as we all remembered. Still the best week of the year, made even better by Case's decision to be baptized on Friday night. It was the perfect way to end the week!

"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33

Oh the difference in boys and girls 😜

The 7th grade boys cabin is very simplistic. Ha!

From James ...

Case, I'm not a big blogger but when you get to baptize your son, it requires documentation, so here it goes. Your mom and I were so excited and proud when we learned that you had made the decision to get baptized. Anne had guessed that it was your prayer request earlier in the week asking for wisdom regarding the decision to get baptized, and we knew that you were thinking about it, but when we hadn't heard anything by Friday, we both assumed that you had decided to wait. Imagine our surprise when Emma Grace inadvertently told us on Friday around noon that you were getting baptized. We were both ecstatic as it was the answer to many prayers. I was so honored that you wanted me to do it, and I was also extremely tired and worried that I wouldn't know what to say. Your mom read Romans 6: 3-4 - Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life." - and you confessed your belief that Jesus is the Son of the Living God in front your friends and family. Believing in Jesus is the most important decision you will ever make. Your mom and I are so proud of you, and we are lucky to have you as a son. I hope and pray that you continue to mature in your faith and grow into the man that God desires you to be. We love you, buddy.
