4th of July 2020 (and Other Summer Happenings)

We tried to keep the 4th of July as "normal" as possible given the circumstances. We still had a neighborhood parade with the firetruck, but there wasn't as big of a crowd and we kept our distance and wore masks when we couldn't keep a safe distance from our neighbors.

After the parade, Emery and Case had some neighbor friends over for a pool day in our new inflatable pool! It's provided HOURS of entertainment this summer!

Since all the big fireworks shows were cancelled, the neighbors chipped in to buy some fireworks of our own that we shot off at the top of the hill. We actually had more fun than we do normally and hope that this will be a new tradition that we can keep long after Covid is gone.

Biking all the way from Shelby Farms to Arkansas with Hannah. 34 miles!
Getting our money's worth out of that inflatable pool!

Although it's certainly been a very different and strange summer with the pandemic, we've found new ways to have fun and enjoy the season!
