The Rest of April (in Quarantine)

We were under a Stay at Home order by our state and local government through the entire month of April and honestly, it wasn't so bad. I mean, don't get me wrong ... we had our struggles and difficult moments, particularly when trying to get some school work done ... but for the most part, it has been a great month. One FULL of many wonderful memories made with some of the people I love most on this earth. My heart is so full. And this incredible spring weather has certainly been a part of it! I am not ready for the summer heat!

Pick up games in the back yard

Curb-ball (some game the big boys taught Case to play)

Fort building with Sadie

MORE puzzles
MORE NERTZ

Bike rides to CFA

So many bike rides

Easter egg cookie painting kit

Chocolate gravy and biscuits on Easter morning!

I've relaxed in the hammock

I've worked in the hammock

I've found unexpected joy on the greenline left by strangers

CJ has had wrestling tutorials with Case on the trampoline.

Emery has worked to transform the playroom into a theater ready for performances. We've had talent shows as well as dance and lip-sync competitions.

We had a photographer come and take "porch photos" of us from a safe social distance (the sunroof of her car). We wanted to properly document our Quarantine Crew.

All in all we've had a ball! There's been more laughter in this house than I can ever remember. I pray we can hold on to a small sliver of this joy and slowed paced after the threat of Covid has subsided and we resume a new normal.
