February Fun

We've had a lot of things going on this month ...

STEAM night at Harding Academy:

Traveling through time

Emery's class studied Ancient Greece (which was cool since she had been there)

Case's class studied the Great Depression

The 3rd grade class led chapel and each chose a bible character to learn and tell about. Case chose the apostle Paul.

Emery wanted to do something for the homeless in Memphis, so one weekend we made and handed out blessing bags.

Keeping our tradition of having daddy/daughter and mother/son date night on Valentine's weekend, we all got cleaned up and ready for a fun night out.

James and Emery went roller skating and to Panda Express and Case and I went to Pyro's and then to see Jumanji. Such a special night! We all look forward to it every year.

While it's been one of the longest and coldest winters I can remember, we have had a few warm days scattered here and there and make the most of them when we get them. This Friday afternoon we hiked along the Wolf River and played in the mud.

FRIYAY!

Both kids have played basketball this winter and the season has wrapped. Emery loved playing for the first time and although she wasn't strong enough yet to get the ball to the hoop, she did play some tenacious defense. These girls were fun to watch.

Case's team didn't win a game all season, but they improved a great deal and he enjoyed it.

The kids and I were off for Presidents' Day and it was a beautiful 70 degree day, so we made the most of it and biked from our house to the Shelby Farms Playground, played for a bit and then biked back. It was a great day off and gave us spring fever. We are ready for the warmer temps to arrive and stay!
