Ocoee Trip

Last weekend James and I went on the Highland Youth Group Sr. High Retreat which consisted of camping two nights in the Cherokee National Forest (in tents) and white water rafting on the Ocoee. It was so fun! It had been a looooong time since I'd been real tent camping or rafting...before kids. The weather could not have been more perfect and we were among great company of teenagers and fellow "adults."

And the best part was being able to hang out with CJ and watch him enjoy some new experiences. He was a bit nervous about the whole nature thing as well as the class four rapids of the river, but he survived with flying colors and had a blast!

My awesome "adult" tent-mates! I'm pretty sure we stayed up later than the teen girls! Lots of giggling going on!

My master griller! Did I mention we ate like kings on this trip? Not your average camping meals! Yum-o!

Hammocking with my girls! It's a lifestyle.

Post rafting with our awesome guide, Blake!

Hike to the waterfall with two of my favorites!

Super big time shout out and thank you to the in-laws for keeping the kiddos for us! I don't know what we would do without you! The kids had a mini-vaca of their own at MawMaw and PawPaw's house and loved every bit of it!
